"The fourth edition of Robert Adams’s book contains mass spectra and retention data for 2,205 compounds, an increase of approximately 600 over those listed in the third edition. Once again there is a wide variety of terpenes, hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, esters, carboxylic acids, both aliphatic and aromatic, and nitrogen and sulfur containing compounds usually encountered in natural oils and fragrances.
